Job Summary:

Omega Seiki Mobility is seeking a passionate and technically skilled Draftsman to join our New Product Development (NPD) team. The ideal candidate will support the design and development of new electric vehicle products, working closely with senior engineers to develop accurate 3D models, simulations, and technical drawings using advanced design tools like CATIA, Pro-E, and ANSYS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings of EV systems, chassis, enclosures, and components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product designs from concept to production.
• Perform basic simulation and design validation using ANSYS or equivalent tools under guidance.
• Assist in the preparation of BOM (Bill of Materials), drawing documentation, and change management.
• Work with the Testing and Validation team to incorporate design feedback and iterative improvements.
• Follow DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) guidelines.
• Maintain CAD data in PLM or drawing management systems as per company protocols.

Required Skills & Tools:

• Design Software: Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6, Pro-E (Creo), AutoCAD.
• Simulation Tools: Basic understanding or hands-on with ANSYS / HyperMesh.
• Knowledge of engineering standards, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and material selection.
• Understanding of EV systems/components will be an added advantage.
• Excellent technical communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0–2 years of experience in the automotive or EV industry.
• Certified in CATIA and familiar with Pro-E and ANSYS tools.
• Internship or academic project experience in EV design or automotive product development.
