Job Summary:

The IoT Engineer will be responsible for managing, supporting, and improving the company’s IoT platform and services. This includes overseeing IoT activations, resolving technical issues, integrating APIs, and enhancing user experiences on dashboards and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IoT operations, address customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement in IoT-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

IoT Operations and Activation

1. Manage and respond to IoT inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
2. Oversee the activation of IoT devices, ensuring smooth field operations and proper configuration.
3. Plan and execute field activities for IoT activation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Maintain comprehensive records of all IoT activations, subscriptions, and revenue generation metrics.

Technical Support and Issue Resolution

1. Provide technical support to resolve IoT-related bugs and issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum customer satisfaction.
2. Collaborate with the software development team to debug, test, and deploy fixes for IoT-related challenges.
3. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.

API Integration and Solution Development

1. Manage API integrations with third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.
2. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored IoT solutions.
3. Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs and system integrations.

Dashboard and Application Improvement

1. Work on the continuous improvement of IoT dashboards, ensuring a user-friendly interface and actionable insights.
2. Regularly evaluate IoT platform performance, identifying areas for optimization and scalability.

Customer and Market Focus

1. Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand demands, and provide innovative IoT solutions.
2. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging IoT technologies to drive innovation in the company’s offerings.

Data Analysis and Reporting

1. Track IoT device performance, uptime, and user behavior through analytics tools.
2. Generate and present periodic reports on IoT operations, activations, and revenue to management.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in IoT development, device management, and platform integration.
3. Strong understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.) and communication technologies (Wi-Fi, LTE, BLE).
4. Hands-on experience with API development and integration (RESTful APIs, JSON, XML).
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT) and IoT analytics tools.
6. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
