Origin of Gandhi Jayanti

Gandhi Jayanti is observed in India every year to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi or ‘Bapu’. He was a firm believer of non-violence. Additionally, he dedicated his life in India’s freedom struggle and during anti-racist movement in South Africa.

Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, the nation pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by remembering his selfless service to the nation. This was led by PM Modi who paid tribute to Gandhiji at Rajghat, the final resting place of our beloved Bapu.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Mahatma Gandhi was known for his penchant for cleanliness and ‘atmanirbharta’. Altogether, to honour this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on October 2, 2014, launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Another key point is that the OSM Rage+ Tipper has zero tail-pipe emission.
