Origin of Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi Jayanti is observed in India every year to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi or ‘Bapu’. He was a firm believer of non-violence. Additionally, he dedicated his life in India’s freedom struggle and during anti-racist movement in South Africa.

Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, the nation pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by remembering his selfless service to the nation. This was led by PM Modi who paid tribute to Gandhiji at Rajghat, the final resting place of our beloved Bapu.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Mahatma Gandhi was known for his penchant for cleanliness and ‘atmanirbharta’. Altogether, to honour this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on October 2, 2014, launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Further, this Clean India Mission’s primary objectives were to eliminate open defecation and improve on India’s solid waste management.

The OSM Rage+ Tipper is an indigenously developed electric garbage disposal carrier. Based on the Rage+ – India’s most loved EV three-wheeler, the Rage+ Tipper is powered by the same tried and tested electric motor. Further, the battery too is the efficient 10.8 kWh unit. This can power this vehicle for 120 km on a single charge.
Created as a result of widespread engagement and community involvement, on Gandhi Jayanti, OSM offers this product to service of the nation. Above all, OSM Rage+ Tipper is coated with a non-corrosive material. This ensures safe carrying of garbage for years. Besides, it also has designated space for segregation of wet and dry waste. Another key point is that the OSM Rage+ Tipper has zero tail-pipe emission.
Team OSM commits to inculcate Gandhi’s ideals of cleanliness. Team OSM honours the Father of the Nation on this Gandhi Jayanti. Without his struggle for freedom, our nation would not have achieved independence.
